The Department

The Department staff provide anaesthesia, pain management, resuscitation (including trauma), and referral services for the Alfred Hospital and the Bayside Network. The Department plays an active role in medical student education for Monash University. The department has a busy and dynamic research unit, with a variety of in-house and multi-centre trials in progress at any one time.
The Role

As a Research Assistant, your key task will be to assist the Research Manager in the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, in the fulfilment of core values for the organization's research mission. The Research Assistant promotes the hospital's vision: to be a driving force in Australia's leading health care system; advance the practice and science of health care; provide a link between highly complex clinical care, research and the people who do both; and to better health for the individual and community.

Experience/Qualifications required

  • Hold a Bachelor of Nursing or the equivilent
  • Have previous experience in research
  • Have sound computer skills
  • Hold a current and unrestricted AHPRA registration
