Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and home and community based services.
We have a great opportunity for an early career haematologist to combine a fellowship in research and clinical trials at Alfred health with a consultant haematologist position at Latrobe Regional Hospital. This is a full time 1.0 EFT position with 0.5 EFT across both organisations.
At Alfred Health the Regional Fellow will work across the full breadth of the Alfred Haematology research and phase 1,2 and 3 clinical trial programs in malignant and non-malignant haematology focussing on research opportunities to improve access to clinical trials for regional Victorians.
A key aspect of the role shall be to assist in the opening and support of appropriate clinical haematology trials at Latrobe Regional Hospital.
At Latrobe Regional Hospital the haematology consultant will join a team of 6 haematologists providing general haematology services for the Gippsland community. The haematology service is strongly aligned with Alfred Health and the expectation of this position is to take leadership in the existing myeloma clinical trials and expand the Gippsland haematology clinical trial program in line with the fellowship role at Alfred.
This position is supported by the prestigious Alfred Trial Hub Program https://www.alfredhealth.org.au/research/research-areas/trialhub and offers a unique opportunity to establish early career expertise in clinical trials.
