We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services. On 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health, a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

About us

Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS) is friendly to infants, children, young people and their families/carers.  

We provide accessible mental health services inclusive of family, friends and support networks.  

We are a specialist, multi-disciplinary and intensive care mental health service incorporating the lived and living experience of family peer specialists and youth peer workers.  

Our service is divided into two streams 0-11 and 12-26 years and includes specialist services in the areas of perinatal care, neurodevelopmental presentations, eating disorders and outreach support.

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating and conducting research and evaluation activities as part of the Eating Disorders Intensive at home (EDI at home) project, under the direction of research team members.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Honours degree in psychology, sociology or other social science discipline.
  • Experience in research administration including managing participant databases and co-ordinating research assessments
  • Experience in a previous research role would be highly regarded
  • Australian working rights and a current Victorian Driver's License
  • 2025 Influenza vaccination
  • Current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a Background Check
