Exciting opportunity for a Grade 3 Clinical Neuropsychologist at Alfred CYMHS

  • Permanent, Part-time (3 days a week - days negotiable)
  • Based in Moorabbin

About us

Alfred CYMHS is one component of the Department of Mental & Addiction Health at Alfred Health.  We are a community-based service providing comprehensive assessment, treatment and case management to infants, children, adolescents and young people up to the age of 25 years of age presenting with behavioural, emotional, psychiatric or developmental difficulties. 

CYMHS provides clinical services in partnership with a wide range of service providers to achieve the best possible outcomes. Alfred CYMHS is committed to active participation by families and young people in evaluating and improving our services.

What you’ll be doing

The primary role of the Neuropsychologist is to provide clinical neuropsychological services across Alfred CYMHS teams, working with children and young people aged 0 – 25 years, with the role sitting in the Neurodevelopmental Stream.

The position requires experience in the assessment and diagnosis of a range of neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders and to have a commitment to high standards of client care and family support. Also required is a demonstrated ability to work within the community and to offer consultation and education with a range of service providers, whilst functioning collaboratively across our multidisciplinary teams.

What we need from you

  • A Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Neuropsychology and full registration with AHPRA
  • Specialist endorsement in clinical neuropsychology / eligibility for endorsement in the area of clinical neuropsychology
  • Appropriate work visa
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
  • Current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one and be willing to undergo a Background Check
