Infection Prevention and Hospital Epidemiology Unit works directly with the Infectious Diseases Unit and Microbiology Department to provide a comprehensive Infection Prevention Program across the whole of Alfred Health. The main office is located on Level 2 of the Burnet Building at the Alfred Campus.
The Contact Tracing/ Case Management (CT/CM) Nurse will work as member of the Infection Prevention and Hospital Epidemiology Team to implement the Infection Prevention (IP) strategic priorities and provide advice and support to consumers of the IP service. The CT/CM Nurse while being able to work independently will do so under the guidance of the Senior CNCs and the direction of the IP Program Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years clinical experience
Certificate IV in Workplace Training or other relevant education qualification desirable
Experience in Infection Prevention or a proven interest in Infection Prevention
Hand Hygiene compliance accredited auditor desirable or a willingness to work towards same
Nurse Immuniser Qualification desirable
