Alfred Hospital, Molecular Microbiology Department
Alfred Pathology Service (APS) provides a comprehensive range of pathology testing, consultation services and collection services to clinicians and patients of Alfred Health. The Molecular Microbiology unit provides PCR and viral load testing for a range of infectious diseases.
Alfred Health’s Microbiology Department has four temporary full-time roles for scientist to perform molecular microbiology testing on a rotating roster, including evening shift, overnight and weekends. Based at The Alfred hospital, your role will be performing molecular microbiology testing according to documented laboratory protocols within acceptable time frames.
To be successful for this role you will need to have experience performing diagnostic Molecular Microbiology tests (instrument based), have excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and ability to function well in a team environment.
Experience in the performance of kit based Molecular Biology assays
