We are seeking an enthusiastic mental health nurse committed to working in partnership to deliver effective, recovery oriented client care in a residential sub-acute setting. 

The PARC service model is a partnership between Alfred Mental and Addiction Health and Wellways Australia providing sub-acute residential step up / step down treatment and support for up to 28 days to consumers within the Alfred catchment area. Alfred Mental and Addiction Health provide the clinical component of the PARC Program and Wellways provide the on-site psychosocial support. This nursing position is part of clinical service expansion recently funded by the DHHS and will work closely with a full-time Senior Clinician, Part time Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychiatry Registrar and Wellways non clinical support workers, in supporting the treatment and recovery of PARC clients. This position will involve roatation to Alma Road Community Care Unit as per roster requirements.


  • Registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA as a Division One Nurse
  • Holds a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing
  • Recent experience working in the psychiatric setting as a mental health nurse
  • Relevant computer skills


  • Experience in a range of psychiatric interventions indicating an ability to perform community-based psychiatric assessment including that of risk assessment
  • A current driver’s licence is required to undertake this role
