  • Executive Assistant to Directors of Nursing & Director of Allied Health

DEPARTMENT:

The Nursing Services Division of Alfred Health is comprised of several services including nursing professional support services, the Allied Health directorate and Non-Clinical Support Services. This position will provide administrative and secretarial support to four key Director Positions: - Director of Allied Health - Director of Nursing (Education and Professional Development), Director of Nursing (Research / Clinical Chair) and Director of Nursing (Title TBC)

POSITION:

This position involves :

  • Managing the offices of the Director Allied Health, Director of Nursing Education and Professional Development, Director of Nursing and  the Director of Nursing Research. This will involve dealing with issues on behalf of these Directors as appropriate, determining and maintaining office procedures and systems including record management and correspondence tracking systems, and providing direct advice to staff on office procedures.
  • Providing effective, efficient and timely administrative support, including arranging meetings, taking and typing minutes, scheduling appointments, undertaking conference and travel arrangements, screening telephone calls, providing an initial point of contact for inquiries, managing the diaries for the Directors and providing advice to stakeholders as appropriate 
  • Projecting a professional image through a well-managed executive area, appropriate and timely reception of visitors and an excellent telephone manner. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience

Proven ability in a similar environment where highly developed organisational skills and well developed interpersonal and communication skills are required as well as proficiency in a wide range of administrative support skills.
