About the Role

Applications are invited for the position of Specialist in Gastroenterology (Fractional) at Alfred Care Group to undertake vacant Endoscopy lists that fall within the monthly surgical cycle.

Appointments may be offered to one or more suitably qualified applicants, depending on service need and individual availability. Successful applicants may be appointed to one or more Endoscopy sessions, with sessions potentially distributed across multiple clinicians.

The vacant Endoscopy sessions within the current cycle are as follows:

Qualifications and Experience:

Our preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes:

  • Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice.
  • Fellowship of the relevant college(s).
  • Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
  • Meets Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
  • Hold conjoint accreditation for gastroscopy and colonoscopy as a minimum requirement.
  • Experience in teaching and an involvement in research are desirable.
