About us

The Nursing Education Department is committed to providing excellence in education for all nurses. Our overall goal is to function as a support and resource to Nursing Services through the provision of educational activities that support enrolled, undergraduate, registered, and post graduate nurses to provide outstanding nursing care and service. In this dynamic environment, we are constantly exploring innovative approaches to education and relationships that will enhance Nursing Services' continuous service improvement and development and meeting organisational priorities. 

About the role

To provide high quality and efficient secretarial and clerical support to the Director of Nursing Services and Education, Manager, Nursing Education’s Clinical Educators the Coordinators of Education and the Allied Health Education Lead and to perform the receptionist role for the Education Centre. 

About you

  • Demonstrated competency as an administration assistant in a work environment where judgement, initiative, flexibility, confidentiality and organisational skills are required.
  • Previous experience in an education or healthcare organisation advantageous.
  • Fast and accurate keyboard skills / data entry are necessary and extensive demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in public health billing and finance systems advantageous
  • Demonstrated competency in customer service and/or reception duties. 
  • Relevant administration course or working towards same
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload within time constraints 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic team environment
