Alfred Mental & Addiction Health (AMAH) is responsible for the operation of services, which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.

The single most important goal of AMAH is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process.

MOBILE AGED PSYCHIATRY SERVICE (MAPS)

MAPS provides care to patients living at home, including within residential aged care facilities.

MAPS is an interdisciplinary team which undertakes assessment treatment and case management of older persons over the age of 65 years with mental health problems living in the Inner South East region of Melbourne.

THE PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT: 

The Psychology Department is progressive and supportive of staff, providing great opportunities for knowledge and skill development through supervision and a professional development program for all psychology staff.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will provide Clinical Psychology services to consumers and carers of the Older Adult Mental Health Service, including assessment and treatment, individual and group therapies. in addition, you will participate in an interdisciplinary team approach to the assessment and treatment of consumers including fostering verbal communication with team members and attendance at team meetings and family meetings when appropriate.

About you

  • Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • General  registration with endorsement in Clinical Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia 
  • For Grade 3 - 5 years  or more of work experience as a psychologist 
  • Australian working rights
  • Full Covid-19 and 2024 Influenza vaccinations
  • Current Victorian Driver's License is essential
  • Be willing to undergo a Background Check
