Alfred Health

Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and home and community-based services.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified HMOs who will be post graduate year 3+ (PGY3+) in 2025.

Alfred Health offer extensive training opportunities in General Surgery and Specialty Surgery. We provide PGY3 surgical rotations which are accredited by the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS).

We will assist in tailoring a training and rotational program that meets the specific RACS requirements for entry to the SET program you intend to apply to.  All surgical trainees have access to a full range of mandatory and recommended surgery rotations as well as Emergency and ICU. We provide a supportive environment where training and learning is encouraged, and consultant surgeons are available to teach and advise.

Our range of surgical rotations are also ideal for prospective Radiology and Critical Care trainees where a surgical background can be beneficial.
