The Service
Alfred Health General Medicine is spread across two wards, at The Alfred Hospital. General Medicine is one of the largest admitting units within Alfred Health and is a part of the Home Acute & Community Program. Both Acute General Medicine wards specialise in care for diverse patient cohorts, caring for both acute and chronic disease. The multidisciplinary team, inclusive of Allied Health and Medicine is committed to providing a friendly and supportive environment, to allow high quality patient centred care that is inclusive of patients, families and their carers.
Key attributes to success in this role
- Can work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team who are focused on delivering high quality patient centred care
- Provide high quality standard of patient care. This includes clinical assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care
- Are able to advocate for patients, families and their needs within a multidisciplinary team
- A desire to further develop your clinical skills and knowledge within a support environment and with focused education resources
- Looking for a challenging and fast paced clinical environment
Your contribution
- Current Registered Nurse Division 1 registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team
- High level of reliability and professional conduct
- High motivation and willingness to learn
- Passionate about acute general medical care
