- Fixed-Term - 18 month contract (x 2 nine month rotations)
- Full-Time - 80 hours per fortnight - 1.0 EFT (flexible hours will be considered)
- Classification code - HS5 or Grade 2/3 equivalent depending on experience/qualifications

Allied Health Services include the disciplines of Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Patient and Family Services, Interpreters, Speech Pathology, Podiatry, Psychology, Prosthetics & Orthotics and Orthoptics.
The Allied Health Professional Practice Framework underpins the work of Allied Health at Alfred Health in contributing to Alfred Health’s purpose. The Allied Health Workforce Unit is responsible for developing and progressing the capabilities of the Allied Health Workforce across the six professional practice pillars.
Position
The Allied Health Workforce Officer role is an exciting new opportunity for a senior Allied Health Professional to develop their capabilities in the Professional Practice domains of: Workforce Innovation, Informatics, and Governance (Scope of Practice, Credentialing, Safety and Quality)
This role is ideal for a Grade 2 to looking explore an alternative career path or Grade 3 clinician interested in professional and operational system experience. Allied Health seniors with an interest in pursuing a career pathway into the areas of Strategy and Management should consider applying for this role. The Allied Health Workforce Officer role will be a key team member of the Allied Health Workforce Unit and report to the Allied Health Workforce Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential
- Degree or equivalent in an Allied Health Discipline.
- Post-graduate qualifications (or working towards) at Masters level in a clinical area or health services management/administration/ business management.
- Experience in project management and proven ability to lead projects.
- Experience managing and providing leadership to quality and safety projects.
Desirable
- Experience in service evaluation design, implementation and reporting
- Project Management and/or Quality Improvement Training
- Training in Health Informatics
- Experience in the delivery and/or management of an allied health service in a hospital environment
