Monash School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine is a teaching and research unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and is centred at the Alfred Hospital Campus. The Centre of Cardiovascular Research and Education in Therapeutics (CCRET) undertakes a broad range of clinical and applied research, from clinical trials to health services research and health economics, predominantly in (but not limited to) cardiovascular and related diseases. It houses major clinical registries in cardiovascular diseases, which not only support research but also inform the quality and safety of clinical care, including the National Cardiac Registry (NCR). The aim of the NCR is to harness insights from national cardiac data to drive better outcomes for all Australians.
The Senior Project Officer will utilise senior-level, specialist knowledge to deliver high-quality project coordination and management services to support the operations of the NCR. They will have a key role in assisting the NCR Team achieve its many deliverables. The Senior Project Officer will be a key liaison point between the project team, internal and external stakeholders and will work across these groups. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A degree in health science, clinical research administration, biomedical science, or a related field; or
Extensive experience and management expertise in health, technical or administrative fields; or
Experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in clinical quality registries or large health data-related projects; or
An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Knowledge of the Australian public and private hospital and health system environment, encompassing both research and clinical aspects
Knowledge of clinical quality registries and their use as a tool for clinician engagement and quality improvement
