DEPARTMENT:

Alfred Mental and Addiction Health (AMAH) is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.

Services are provided by a number of teams located at the Alfred Hospital (Commercial Road, Prahran) and at St. Kilda Road Clinic, Alma Road CCU in St. Kilda, the Child & Adolescent Service located in Moorabbin and Headspace service in various locations in Victoria. AMAH also works in partnership with relevant local non-government and social support agencies.

POSITION:

This position has been established as a time limited role to support Alfred Mental and Addiction Health prepare for significant changes. We will be implementing recommendations from the Royal Commission and preparing for activity-based funding. Access to timely, meaningful information will be integral to service planning, securing appropriate funding and providing the best possible care to our consumers.

The BI Developer / Analyst will work with the AMAH Quality and Service Planning teams to set up a sustainable reporting framework to provide leadership and clinical teams with access to timely and accurate date to inform service improvement and planning.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in an appropriate health, business or technology field

  • Good IT skills and experience working with SQL databases and reporting/dashboard tools

  • Advanced SQL / DAX skills

  • Experienced in developing data models

  • Performance reporting and data analysis experience

  • Health sector / mental health experience desirable
