Endocrinology & Diabetes Department
Part-Time, 48 hours per fortnight

Alfred Health Endocrinology & Diabetes comprises a multidisciplinary team of Endocrinologists, Diabetes Nurse Educators, Podiatrists and Dietitians who bring expertise and excellent, compassionate care to our patients. We provide patients with the best and most current treatments, methods, materials and equipment to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of service. We believe that patients come first. The position will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Director and other staff members within the Endocrinology & Diabetes department. Duties include and not limited too.
Provide private secretarial and administrative support to members of the Department and manage Director Endocrinology & Diabetes and other senior staff members’ diaries.
Organise diary appointments and meetings along with booking meeting rooms.
Handle staff, patient and GP telephone enquiries and direct callers to the most appropriate person, taking accurate messages when required.
Provide general reception duties including screening telephone calls and visitors to the department, mail distribution, maintenance of stationery stores.
Strong administrative and organisational skills as well as experience in multi-tasking
Proficient in Microsoft Word for Windows, Excel, Outlook, and internet search/ browsing.
Proven typing and medical terminology skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Commitment to customer service.
Demonstrated initiative and self-direction.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in dealing with all aspects of the role.
Previous experience within a health care setting
Experience working in a community or health setting.
Easy public transport access
