ALFRED HEALTH are committed to providing a safe workplace for staff. Part of this ongoing commitment is to support the safe practices of manual handling for Allied Health staff and therefore enable comprehensive patient care.
This role seeks to empower staff to assess and manage dependent care requirements for complex patient care scenarios, while facilitating manual handling safe practices.
The role will involve coordinating, facilitating and/or co-facilitating and evaluating the Manual Handling Training programs for Allied Health staff across all Alfred Health sites. This also directly involves risk assessment, prevention and control measures to assist with Allied Health staff manual handling tasks, incidents and injuries. They will work closely with Nursing Manual Handling Coordinator and OHS team to implement Alfred Health OHS Framework.
The OHS team is made up of three high preforming work areas (injury management, health and safety and training) that work in collaboration to deliver an end to end Health and Safety business partnering service across four campuses; The Alfred, Caulfield, Sandringham and Melbourne Sexual Health Clinic.
