The Department

The Information Development Division is responsible for enabling clinical staff to deliver timely, quality care to our patients and carers through innovative use of information technologies, and through strategic management of information and data across the organisation.

The Role

Alfred Health is seeking an experienced, organised, and pro-active IT Technical Support Analyst to join the Pathology IT group, within eMR. An exciting and varied position that will help support Alfred Pathology’s LIS system (PathNet) and the wider Clinical System (Powerchart), exposing the Analyst to wide and varied role. Responsibilities to include:

  • Project managing within Healthcare Information Technology
  • Implementation, maintaining, testing and support of PathNet.
  • Identification and resolution of system problems, risks, and issues
  • Monitor and remediate Billing issues.


  • Experience with the Cerner Millennium PathNet Laboratory Information System (LIS) and/or Clinical Information System (CIS) and associated tools - preferred
  • Excellent aptitude for problem-solving and good analytical skills, self-driven and quick-learning - essential
  • Demonstrated Business Analysis / Project Management skills - essential.
  • Understanding of Pathology Invoicing / Billing processes - preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills in managing multiple stakeholders and teams across concurrent streams of development work - essential.
