Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist/ Exercise Physiologist/ Social Worker(s) – Hotel Support Services
Alfred Health is seeking experienced Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapists to join our Hotel Support Services (HSS) team in providing care to returning international travellers undertaking mandatory quarantine as part of the Victorian Government’s COVID-19 Accommodation response (the Program). These Allied Health Professionals will work with the Alfred Health team at a single hotel site to provide clinical support and management for all people residing in the Program’s clinical setting.
This dynamic environment requires clinicians who have great communication, care planning, clinical skills and a strong team player, and who are interested in working in a multi-agency response under the direction of Alfred Health. These roles will be undertaken on a minimum six-month secondment with operational management provided by the Allied Health Team Leader (HSS) and Deputy Director Operations (HSS), with clinical supervision by an appropriate senior Allied Health Professional.
- 6-month fixed term position(s) or until 31st December 2021
- 7-day a week roster
- 0.6 to 1.0 EFT. However, successful applicants must not work in any other clinical or non-clinical role in conjunction with this position
- Grade 2 Allied Health Professional – Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiologist and Social Work
- Based at one of the two clinical setting hotels
- Two weeks additional paid leave at the conclusion of secondment (prior to return to substantive position)
Alfred Health has been engaged to provide clinical care within the Department of Justice and Community Safety’s COVID-19 Accommodation response (the Program) for returned international travellers and/or community members (residents). Alfred Health provides clinical support and management for all people residing in the Program’s clinical setting, but does not provide services to quarantine hotel settings.
We are looking for experienced and motivated Allied Health Professional(s) (AHP) to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary clinical team and multiple agencies within HSS to provide a flexible and responsive service to ensure resident’s physical and psychosocial health, function and safety. The AHP is responsible for clinical service provision to provide residents with timely assessment, early identification of any deterioration and escalation of care when required, delivery interventions to optimise care and minimise risk and facilitate transition to the community when safe to do so. The AHP will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and the Allied Health Team Leader. The AHP may also provide direct supervision and direction for Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) allocated to their HSS team.
