The Australasian Myeloma Research Consortium (AMaRC) is a not-for-profit myeloma clinical trial research group and is a collaboration of myeloma experts, scientists, other clinical specialists to develop and conduct investigator-initiated trials (IITs) in myeloma.


AMaRC is looking for a highly motivated individual with relevant experience or keen interest in clinical research to join a small high-functional team focused on myeloma trials on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Head of AMaRC and Malignant Haematology & Stem Cell Transplantation Service at Alfred Health, the Executive Assistant role will provide administrative support for Trial Operations and Project Management to facilitate the successful implementation of AMaRC myeloma trials from start to end  (clinical trial start-up, study conduct, close-out and archiving)

  • Work closely with the Senior Clinical Trial Coordinator and Business Development Project Manager
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including arranging meetings, minute taking and filing
  • Prepare reports, documents and correspondence as required
  • Implementing Good Documentation Practice to help manage the AMaRC's Quality Documentation Management System
  • Facilitate the tracking of trial expenses
  • Facilitate the execution and tracking of contracts

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly both within a team and autonomously
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of the clinical trial processes and procedures 
  • Experience in working in a hospital, university or research area
  • Strong understanding of the clinical trial milieu and relevant regulatory guidelines – ICH/GCP, NHMRC, TGA  & MEDSAFE
