DEPARTMENT:

Respiratory Medicine has a unique and comprehensive spectrum of expertise in Australia across clinical and basic allergy and advanced adult lung diseases, including severe asthma, emphysema, interstitial lung diseases, sleep apnoea, cystic fibrosis (CF; State Centre of Excellence) and lung transplantation. It comprises of four Clinical Services, supported by the Bronchoscopy Service and the Physiology Service (including the Lung Function Laboratory).

POSITION:

This role provides an exciting opportunity for a person with proven experience and skills in health data management, data analysis, audit, and report writing to assist The Alfred’s Lung Transplant Service in maintaining world-leading patient care and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

  • Experience working within a hospital/medical practice or similar environment, and knowledge of medical terminology
  • Demonstrated excellent organisational and investigative skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in data management with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strong general computing skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and other data management programs, plus experience in production of reports and presentations.
  • Proven excellent written and oral communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Undergraduate qualification in Health Management/ Science/ IT
  • Statistical analysis skills and experience would be an advantage
