Alfred Health has been selected by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services to coordinate the Rural Urgent Care Nursing – Capability Development Program (https://emergencyeducation.org.au/rucncdp/).

This is an exciting, 3.5-year education program that delivers world-class education resources to rural and remote nurses who work in Urgent Care.

The role

We are currently seeking a part-time (0.6 EFT) Clinical Placement Coordinator to manage this key component of the learning program. 

The Clinical Placement Coordinator will establish administration processes and liaise with multiple key stakeholders including Health Services and participating nurses, to ensure RUCN clinical placements provide an excellent and consistent learning experience.

This is a virtual project team with all team members working remotely. The role is a fixed-term, one-year contract with the possibility of extension until June 2023.

Essential

  • Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
  • Minimum of two years experience in health-related administration or project work (could be a portfolio/accountability held as part of a clinical appointment)
  • Intermediate to advanced information technology proficiency.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the state of Victoria.
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle.

 Desired (not essential)

  • Previous experience or currently working in a rural or remote health service (with particular value placed on exposure to Emergency or Urgent Care Centre settings).
  • Postgraduate Qualification in Emergency/Critical Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
