The Senior Clinician Occupational Therapist (Grade 3) will be identified as a clinical specialist within the general medical and surgical service and will apply this knowledge, skill and expertise to lead and develop the clinical practice of individuals and the wider team.
At Grade 3 level, Occupational Therapists are required to provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring within their own discipline, whilst also contributing to the development of the Allied Health service and their clinical program/s. It is an expectation that Senior Clinicians will lead administrative portfolios, quality improvement initiatives and/or research projects, and ensure that Occupational Therapy practice within their area of specialisation is evidence-based.
The Senior Clinician actively collaborates with the Allied Health Manager and Deputy Manager - Occupational Therapy, Grade 4 Occupational Therapy clinicians and Occupational Therapy staff, and represents Allied Health and/or their discipline at various internal/external forums (as directed by the Allied Health Manager - Occupational Therapy).
