Alfred Health Speech Pathology is a vibrant department providing services to The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham Hospital. The department aims to provide excellent patient care and a supportive and innovative environment for staff.
We are seeking a Grade 1 Speech Pathologists to join the Alfred Health Speech Pathology team.
The position is based in the Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Better at Home programs at Caulfield Hospital. There may also be the opportunity for rotation into other areas of Alfred Health.
Responsibilities include assessment and management of patients with disorders of swallowing, communication and cognition.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
An ability to apply theoretical knowledge in the areas of dysphagia, dysphasia, motor speech disorders and cognition.
Good problem-solving skills.
Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise patients and workload.
High standard of written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
An ability to participate in quality improvement activities.
