The Alfred Health Cancer Program is responsible for the overall delivery of a comprehensive cancer service which includes a number of clinical areas and units including; Medical Oncology, Haematology, Bone Marrow Transplant, State-wide Haemophilia Service, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care and the Victorian Melanoma Service. The Alfred Health Radiation Oncology Unit is a team of highly experienced and specialised staff, utilising modern and regularly upgraded equipment. This ensures we are at the forefront of radiation therapy treatment, providing the best possible advice, treatment and follow-up for our patients. Additional services accommodated in South Block include, the Haematology/Oncology Centre providing systemic therapy for most adult solid tumours and blood cancers, as well as an apheresis and outpatient stem cell transplant service.
Alfred Cancer's South Block are recruiting an Associate Nurse Manager with a particular interest in Radiotherapy. The Associate Nurse Manager is a pivotal member of the nursing leadership team, who assists the Nurse Manager to operationalise the core values of Alfred Health and Alfred Cancer. This role supports excellence in clinical practice and promotes the development of nurses, ensuring standards of care are consistently reflected in professional practice and patient care. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Unrestricted registration as a Nurse, with AHPRA.
Cancer nursing experience - Radiation nursing desirable
Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Minimum of 3 years recent acute nursing experience
Easy public transport access and discounted staff car parking
