4 West B Is a 28-32 bed General Medical Ward that provides 24-hour care for patient admitted to the clinical area.
The Ward Clerk position is part of the 4 West B team who engages with patients, families, the 4 West B team & other departments as part of their daily role.
The Ward Clerk is responsible for maintaining up to date patient data throughout their admission & works closely with the NUM/CNM & Resource Nurse to provide prompt management of admissions, discharges & transfers of patients.
Has previous experience within a health care setting
Has high level of expertise in Microsoft Office packages & previous IT knowledge of hospital systems
Has advanced communication skills
Can work as part of a complex team & independently within their scope of practice
Previous experience in a health related setting
Practical expertise in Microsoft Office packages
Excellent time management skills
Previous consumer engagement experience
An awareness of Alfred Health
