The 5 East nursing team are a compassionate, enthusiastic team of highly skilled nurses, specialising in acute respiratory nursing care. 5 East delivers care through a multidisciplinary team approach which is facilitated by daily ward rounds and frequent team meetings.
POSITION: 5 East are seeking a passionate Clinical Support and Development nurse to cover a 12 month maternity leave position. The 5 East Clinical Support and Development nurse role requires an experienced Respiratory Nurse with a strong focus on quality and development of staff. The position offers a mix of clinical and non-clinical work with a strong candidate being someone who is currently working within a leadership team with a grounded knowledge of the organisation. The Clinical Support and Development Nurse position ultimately provides an excellent opportunity to positively influence the patient experience and to establish, develop and mentor a strong nursing team.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced clinical knowledge and skill in respiratory area
Critical thinking skills
Open, flexible, innovative and risk taking
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to the nursing care delivery system
Commitment to research process and application to practice
Currently registered in Victoria as a Division 1 Nurse
Holding or working towards a relevant tertiary qualification
Extensive relevant experience in a clinical leadership role
