DEPARTMENT:

Hotel Support Services (HSS) Alfred Health has been engaged to provide clinical care within the Department of Justice and Community Safety’s hotel quarantine program (the Program) for community members or returned travellers (guests).

Position:

The Infection Prevention (IP) Manager will provide daily direction and oversight for the activity of the Infection Prevention team working in the Health Hotels and Quarantine Hotels.

The scope of your work wil include, but will not be limited to: 

  • Operational leadership of the Infection Prevention and Control nursing team;
  • Educational leadership ensuring best practice adoption of recommended infection prevention initiatives for the clinical and non-clinical workforce within Hotel Support Services (including Spotless);
  • Compliance with auditing and reporting requirements;
  • Support with contact tracing duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential                 

  • Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA or suitably qualified Medical Practitioner with relevant experience;
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Infection Prevention and Control or Public Health;
  • Accredited Gold Standard Hand Hygiene Auditor;
  • Previous experience in managing teams;
  • Understanding and experience in risk management and quality assurance systems;
