Alfred Mental & Addiction Health, Workforce Development and Education ensure a wide range of education, training and practice development is provided to ensure workforce capability for Alfred Psychiatry. The team provides coordination for undergraduate, graduate and mandatory training programs. The educators and workforce development team work in partnership with service improvement teams to ensure key priorities are implemented and embedded into clinical activity.
The Undergraduate Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, strategic management and evaluation of undergraduate nursing clinical placements across Alfred Mental and Addiction Health sites. Reporting to the Manager of Workforce Development and Education, the Undergraduate Program Coordinator will supervise the grade 4 Undergraduate Educators to ensure nursing students have a productive and supported placement and that clinical staff are fully supported to ensure student learning and development.
Registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA as a Division One Nurse
Holds a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing (at Masters level or higher) or equivalent
Recent experience working in the psychiatric setting as a mental health nurse
Recent experience in teaching at the University or TAFE sector
Recent experience in planning educational sessions and working in nursing education and community mental health experience is an advantage
Relevant computer skills
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or working towards
Credentialing with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses preferred
Current Victorian drivers licence
