DEPARTMENT:

The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine/Heart Centre at The Alfred assesses and treats patients with all forms of adult cardiovascular disease.  The department comprises of outpatient clinics, investigation suites and an in-patient ward co-located with the Alfred Department of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery.  It has close links with the adjacently situated BakerIDI Heart and Diabetes Institute.  In addition to patient care the Department has an extensive research and education programme.

POSITION:

The role of this position is to provide administrative and clerical support to the Echocardiography team.

Reviewing and assisting with Urgent outpatient TTE bookings will be a secondary Focus. Previous hospital or patient interaction experience is a must. 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential

  • Strong computer skills and experience in a busy medical practice is essential.

Desirable

  • Experience with CERNER Scheduling appointment preferred.
  • Previous clinical Cardiology (or Similar) exposure strongly preferred.
