Applications are encouraged from suitably qualified medical officers to join our urology radiation oncology team, with the opportunity to advance both clinical and research skills and experience within a collaborative multidisciplinary health service. Urological cancers are the largest category of cancers managed at Alfred Health Radiation Oncology. We have access to modern external beam treatments, and both high and low dose-rate brachytherapy techniques. We have been leaders in Australia in stereotactic and in brachytherapy technologies and treatments, and have a long close association with prostate cancer clinical quality registry research and quality-improvement efforts
The position will be based at the Alfred Radiation Oncology with a substantial commitment to our Gippsland Radiation Oncology service in Traralgon with protected time to progress ongoing in-house trials and further develop our clinical research program. We are seeking a recently qualified Radiation Oncologist, registered or able to be registered with the Medical Board of Australia, with a Diploma or Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists; or in the last training year of the RANZCR Radiation Oncology specialist vocational training having passed the Part II exam. Previous research experience will be an advantage.
