POSITION:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse to assist with clinical research and audit in the Department of Cardiology, Heart Failure Research Group at the Alfred Hospital. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, a commitment to high standards of clinical research, computer literacy and the ability to effectively manage research data. The Research Nurse will be employed to manage current and new Heart Failure research studies both investigator led and industry based under the direction of Prof David Kaye and associated medical staff of the Cardiology Dept.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Registered Nurse, with specialisation in critical care
Research experience preferred, including a demonstrated capacity to produce measurable research outcomes.
Experience and a track record in the application of computerisation is essential.
Experiences in maintenance and administration of database are essential.
Experience in industry and/or experience with professional societies is essential.
Experience in the preparation of Grant applications would be an advantage.
Experience in the preparation of Human Research Ethics Committee applications would be an advantage
