The MRG within the Division of Blood Cancers, Australian Centre for Blood Diseases is a combined translational and clinical research team focusing on the identification and characterisation of novel therapeutic agents for multiple myeloma (MM).
This position works under a general supervisor and will involve animal experimentation, conducting cell culture assays, processing patient samples, isolation of DNA and RNA from cell lines and primary samples, cDNA synthesis and polymerase chain reaction assays as well as assisting with the general maintenance of the laboratory and the making and preparation of solutions plus performing a range of biological research related activities whilst providing assistance to academic staff, technical assistants and students
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Previous laboratory experience essential
Science qualification desirable
Computer capable – Familiar with Excel
Easy public transport access
