Alfred Mental and Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will work with a highly motivated nursing team and contribute to the professional development of the Mental and Addiction Health program. The position will be primarily based at Caulfield hospital (Aged Psychiatry) however the ability to work across sites (including Adult Inpatient and community) is required.
Working under the supervision of the Undergraduate Program Coordinator (Mental Health), the Clinical Nurse Educator will perform a range of teaching roles and tasks to support and coordinate undergraduate nurses whilst on clinical placement at Alfred Health sites, working closely alongside the Undergraduate Program Coordinator and other nursing staff.
The person in this role will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Alfred Mental & Addiction Health Workforce Development & Education team provide support and training to AMAH staff including DAMA.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA as a Division One Nurse
Holds a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing (at postgraduate Diploma or higher) or equivalent
Recent experience working in the psychiatric setting as a mental health nurse in community and inpatient settings
Recent experience in an Aged setting desirable
Current Victorian drivers licence
Relevant computer skills
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or working towards
Credentialing with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses preferred
Easy public transport access
