  • Pharmacy Technician (TH14) – Pharmacy Support (Contracts and Administration)
  • Full time, permanent plus rostered ADO

THE DEPARTMENT

The Pharmacy services operate across all Alfred Health sites and are well recognised nationally and internationally for high quality, innovative, patient-focused services, education and training programmes as well as significant research output.

An exciting opportunity is available to work in a highly-focussed team supporting services in one of Australia’s most progressive, dynamic and award winning Pharmacy departments.

THE ROLE

The Pharmacy Technician – Contracts and Administration will support Executive and Senior Management co-ordinate the pharmacy business contracts, such as supporting and managing the progression of contracts and agreements, departmental communication, maintaining databases and payroll, HR and O&HS activities.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU MUST DEMONSTRATE:

  • A patient-centred approach to care
  • Excellent knowledge, judgement and reasoning
  • Excellent communication, leadership and management skills with the ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work and deliver to deadlines
  • Problem solving and risk assessment abilities and the ability to use initiative

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Have, or working towards, a Certificate IV in Hospital Health Services Pharmacy Support or equivalently relevant qualifications for this role
  • Community pharmacy experience desirable or
  • Hospital pharmacy experience desirable
  • Knowledge of PBS, S100, and Special Access Schemes advantageous
  • Report writing experience desirable
  • Database management experience desirable
