The Alfred Centre Short Stay Unit is seeking a motivate and experienced nurse with medical and/or surgical background.  If you are wanting to take your career to the next level and enjoy the challenge of working in a dynamic team environment, then this could be the job for you. As a part of the Short Stay Unit, you will provide treatment and ongoing management of elective patients both medical and surgical as well as patients requiring day admission for radiology/medical procedures. 


As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will have specific post basic qualifications plus 12 months experience working in the clinical area of your specified post basic qualification and are currently responsible for clinical nursing duties.  You may also be considered for the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist if you have a minimum of 4 years post registration experience that includes at least 3 years’ experience in your relevant specialist field.  You will provide support to other registered nurses in your ward.


  • Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
  • Demonstrates the appropriate competencies and skills as per the Clinical Nurse Specialist criteria
