Alfred Health

Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and home and community based services.

Department

Alfred Health is the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne and a major provider of specialist services to people across Victoria. Our Emergency Department is very excited to be delivering a 3.5-year project (to June 2023) funded by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services, to deliver training and development opportunities to nurses working in urgent care settings in rural and remote Victoria.  

The project launched in late 2019 with an incredible team of Nurse Educators from across Victoria. We’re looking for a career administrator with exceptional admin and IT skills to be a crucial part of the project’s success! 

Role

  • Take full responsibility for proving outstanding administrative support to the Program Manager, Nurse Educators which enables the team to deliver! 
  • Coordinate our online learning management and other project systems, we need you to be an IT wiz! 
  • Engage with our learners and other key stakeholders to ensure that participants have a fantastic experience completing this program. 
  • General administration including finance, HR, IT, resources and other tasks including drafting correspondence and serving as Committee Secretariat.

  • Great communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional documentation for various audiences. 
  • Highly developed computer literacy, including the ability to learn and adopt new software packages as required. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. 
  • High attention to detail. 
  • Outstanding organisational skills. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS  

  • Some Victorian travel may be required. It would be highly beneficial for applicants to have a drivers licence and access to car. 
  • The role will predominately be working from home with at least one day based at The Alfred Hospital each month.  

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

  • A minimum of five years of relevant administration experience. 
  • A qualification in a relevant field or evidence of a strong commitment to continuing professional development (to be justified via the written application process). 
  • Experience in health or education/training administration is not essential but highly regarded.
