  • Registered Nurse Grade 2
  • Radiology Department - Based at The Alfred
  • Part time role - Maternity leave cover- until August 2021 - Monday to Friday - 48 hours per fortnight
  • Radiology experience preferable

Alfred Health Radiology encompases The Alfred as well as Sandringham Hospital. Nursing staff work across all areas in the department, including Nuclear Medicine with a particular focus in the Interventional areas such as angiography. We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys the challenge of working in a team environment. You must also have the ability to maintain a high level of communicaton with patients, staff and visitors. The Radiology team will provide clinical support and development opportunities to enable you to develop your clinical practice caring for patients across a range of areas including angiography, CT, ultrasound, MRI, fluoroscopy and patient observation areas.

As a Radiology Nurse you will be trained in the following:

  • Intervention- Inpatient and outpatient
    • Angio- peripheral and some neuro intervention
    • US/CT biopsies, drainages
  • CT- Cardiac CT, cannulation, CVAD access, ablation intervention
  • MRI- sedation


  • Current APHRA registration
  • Current Working with Childrens check
  • Minimum 3 years acute ward experience
  • Peripheral IV cannulation skills are an advantage
