School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine - 553 St. Kilda Road
Monash School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine is a teaching and research unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and is centred at the Alfred Hospital Campus. It plays a prominent role in public health medicine in Australia and has a strong record for training individuals with the capacity and skills to assume leadership roles in Australia in this field. We work closely with the major Monash affiliated hospitals, research institutes and public health units within Victoria. Our skills provide a key resource underpinning translational research within our Faculty.
The Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine (DEPM) has broad expertise in applied clinical and public health research. Its core skills of epidemiology, biostatistics and data management support extensive research programs aimed at reducing suffering, preventing illness and improving quality of life. The department's research program takes place in settings ranging from remote communities and workplaces to intensive care units.
This position is for the TrueNTH Global Prostate Cancer Registry (TrueNTH) Program Manager. TrueNTH collects details on men diagnosed with prostate cancer from over 14 countries and 200 sites. As the program manager of this registry, you will work closely with jurisdictional coordinators to provide advice and support in the operation of the registry. You will track progress of recruitment across jurisdictions, manage requests for information and modifications to the database, lead meetings of coordinators, participate in the TrueNTH Steering Committee meetings, promote the registry, analyse data and publish output from the registry. You will be responsible for contributing to grant applications and assisting with teaching commitments.
Advanced project management skills, preferably in a health-related field
Advanced stakeholder engagement, communication and collaboration skills
Demonstrated understanding of data analysis and management as related to scientific academic research
Demonstrated ability to manage projects across geographically dispersed stakeholders and across different time zones
Demonstrated understanding of database technology and its implementation
