We have an exciting opportunity for a Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our busy and progressive Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit.
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit which is based at Caulfield Hospital provides programs of education and/or supervised exercise for patients with coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, other cardiac conditions or those who require risk factor modification.
The position will involve group exercise and education sessions and individual sessions with cardiac patients who are participating in the program. Currently due to COVID -19 restrictions we are offering a Telephone/Telehealth program. Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team are essential.
To be successful you will:
Be responsible for the provision of high quality physiotherapy service across all clinical areas within the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit.
Have a good theoretical knowledge across the clinical areas encompassed in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Stream.
Very good clinical reasoning/ decision making skills in the clinical areas
Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills to support effective liaison with clients, their carers and other health professionals.
