Alfred Health is the main provider of health services to people in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne and is also a major provider of specialist services to people across Victoria. The Health Service operates three outstanding facilities: The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham.
Applications are invited for the position of Locum Visiting Medical Officer in Interventional Neuroradiology.
- 6 month Sabbatical Leave cover between October 2020 and March 2021
- 3 days per week plus on call
The Interventional Neuroradiology Division currently has 3 consultants and 1 full time fellow. They work closely with the Neurology and Neurosurgery departments to provide a neurovascular service from endovascular clot retrievals, embolization of aneurysms/AVMs and diagnostic angiography.
Appointees must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency and hold fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. The applicant must also be accredited by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Interventional Neuroradiology (CCINR).
The successful applicant will be required to provide excellent clinical expertise in diagnostic radiology, to support Alfred Health's teaching, research and clinical governance programs and to support the strategic priorities and values of Alfred Health. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Radiology and meets Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in radiology.
