headspace Early Psychosis is one of the world’s most comprehensive youth early psychosis programs being delivered through one program in each Australian state. Through this new initiative, young people and their families have timely access to comprehensive evidence-based early psychosis services.
This program aims to intervene early with young people who have unusual sensory experiences and/or beliefs and their families and supporters. The service builds on strengths and resilience, uses the wisdom of lived experience and fosters hope, potential, and recovery.
What you’ll be doing
This position is based at the headspace Early Psychosis hub in Bentleigh and works in partnership with the Principal Psychiatrist of headspace Early Psychosis to ensure safe, effective and appropriate delivery of mental health assessment, treatment and support services to young people and their families. The position is responsible for site management at Bentleigh. These responsibilities include the operational management of the building; ensuring resources and equipment are provided to staff to undertake the clinical roles and clerical duties. The manager also has oversight and management of the budget to ensure effective services are delivered within budget.
This position also manages and supports the work of spoke services located at Frankston, Narre Warren and Dandenong.
Completion of reports to funding agencies, headspace National office and other contracted advisors is also a requirement along with assisting with managing key relationships.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised person to lead The Alfred headspace Early Psychosis team.
You’ll have a Degree in health or related sciences as well as 5+ years relevant work experience and eligibility for membership of AHPRA or the appropriate professional body.
We'd also love it if you already have Postgraduate qualifications in management and/or health administration, and have a demonstrated capacity to effectively lead and manage a complex multi-disciplinary health service.
You'll also have to complete/provide a valid Victorian Working with Children Check, be willing to undergo a background check, and you'll require Australian working rights.
