Alfred Health

Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and home and community based services.

  • 12 month Fixed Term (commencing April 2020)
  • 80 hours per fortnight with ADO
  • Grade 3- VW 6-9        
  • Location: Caulfield Hospital

The Department

Alfred Health Speech Pathology is a vibrant department providing services to The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham Hospital. The department aims to provide excellent patient care and a supportive and innovative environment for staff.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our department. The successful applicant will provide high quality assessment and management of inpatients in subacute aged care and rehabilitation at Caulfield Hospital. You will also contribute to quality improvement and research activities as well as complete staff and student supervision

Skills 

  • Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of the clinical areas of dysphagia, communication and cognition 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to principles of continuous quality improvement.
  • Significant experience in professional supervision  
  • Significant experience in student supervision
