The Department 

The Department of Infectious Diseases at the Alfred Hospital is one of the largest and most comprehensive infectious diseases clinical services in the country. It is also an academic Department within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Central Clinical School, Monash University and is a premier centre for clinical and biomedical research and education.

The Role

The Epidemiology and Data Management Unit provide support to the Department of Infectious Diseases.  The Unit supports a broad range of the clinical service, research and epidemiology activities of the Department.  The Unit consists of a Manager a Clinical Audit and Data Officer and data entry clerks.  This position will undertake data entry along with assist in the auditing of patient histories for database purposes, assist in support of clinical trial activities and assist in collation and follow up of private billing data.

Qualifications/Experience 

  • Victorian Education Certificate (VCE) or equivalent desirable
  • Certificate of Medical Terminology is desirable
  • Experience working within a healthcare setting
