An exciting opportunity exists for an Enrolled Nurse to join the team in the Baringa Aged Psychiatry Inpatient Unit
The Caulfield Aged Psychiatry Service provides inpatient and community based assessment, treatment and ongoing management for people generally over the age of 65 years with a mental health disorder including psychological & behavioural disturbances
As an Enrolled Nurse you will be an integral member of the nursing team. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of health care needs of patients within Baringa, developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of care in partnership with the patient and overseen by the Registered Nurse.
You will have a commitment to high standards of care, strong interpersonal and communication skills and an empathetic approach to care together with a positive attitude. Knowledge and skills in aged persons mental health nursing would be highly desirable. Medication endorsement is essential.
The Enrolled Nurse will demonstrate strong clinical skills, the ability to engage complex clients and communicate effectively with all staff and service providers to achieve strong outcomes for patients. The ability to work collaboratively is essential to this role.
