Alfred Health’s Nutrition Department is seeking an outstanding senior clinical dietitian with experience in subacute care and rehabilitation.
The Senior Dietitian at Caulfield Hospital works closely with the Clinical Operations Lead for Nutrition Subacute Services to support the clinical operation of a team of dietitians in Caulfield Hospital. Clinical expertise in subacute care, rehabilitation, and discharge planning is essential. Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of co-ordination and implementation of quality initiatives in clinical nutrition are key aspects of this role. The Nutrition Department has a proud history of research and there is an opportunity to participate and/or undertake research projects.
As a state-wide provider of rehabilitation, Caulfield Hospital is dedicated to helping patients regain meaningful lives and return to daily activities following severe accidents and illness. Caulfield Hospital specialises in geriatric medicine, rehabilitation, community health, and aged mental health. Many of our services are delivered through inpatient and outpatient programmes with a strong emphasis on home-delivered care.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Clinical expertise in subacute care and rehabilitation
In-Depth working knowledge of pathways of care for patients transferring from acute to subacute and onwards to community services and home
Experience in leading a team and supporting junior staff
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in nutrition education
Experience of continuous quality improvement and service development
At Least 7 years post-graduate experience
Eligibility for membership of DAA and APD credentialed is essential
Postgraduate qualification or be progressing toward one
