About ABI Rehabilitation Centre

Alfred Health's Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Rehabilitation Centre provides rehabilitation services for people with moderate to severe acquired brain injuries including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, hypoxic brain injuries and other causes of non-progressive brain injury. The service is comprised of a 42-bed inpatient rehabilitation service, a community rehabilitation service and a 4-bed transitional living service.

About the role!

As a part of ABI's nursing team, you will be responsible for providing and coordinating all aspects of quality patient care. Under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of expert clinical care in ABI and neurological rehabilitation. You will be working with a dedicated multidisciplinary team focused on to achieving the best possible outcome for our patients.

This position offers committed and forward-thinking individuals the opportunity to work collaboratively with a dynamic interdisciplinary team, to deliver quality care to people with ABI in a purpose-built facility.


  • Integrity, well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Proven clinical skills with a good working knowledge of medical and rehabilitation care.
  • Demonstrated customer focus, initiative and an emphasis on service quality improvement are required.
  • Current AHPRA registration
