Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and home and community based services.

Applications are encouraged from suitably qualified medical officers. Our service provides comprehensive stereotactic treatments for cranial and extra-cranial disease sites. The successful candidate will play a central role in the stereotactic service with a view to developing prostate SABR treatment. One position will be based at the Alfred Radiation Oncology and the other based at predominantly at Gippsland Radiation Oncology. 

The position will work with the uro-radiation oncology service as well as the STRS team providing patient-centred multidisciplinary care for the Alfred Radiation Oncology patients. In addition, you will have protected time to progress ongoing in-house trials and further develop our clinical research program. Satisfactory progress may lead to higher qualification and contract extension. Previous research experience will be an advantage. We are seeking recently qualified Radiation Oncologist, registered or able to be registered with the Medical Board of Australia, with a Diploma or Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists; or in the last training year of the RANZCR Radiation Oncology specialist vocational training having passed the Part II examination series.
