Alfred Health is the main provider of health services to people in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne and is also a major provider of specialist services to people across Victoria. The Health Service operates three outstanding facilities: The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham.
Applications are invited for the position of Visiting Medical Officer in Neurology, with particular expertise in EMG and neuromuscular disease.
The Neurologist would be required to undertake two sessions of EMG studies and one neuromuscular clinic session. In addition, they will be expected be participate in the education, quality assurance and research activities of the Department.
Appointees must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Demonstrable relevant knowledge, experience and qualification in Neurology, EMG and Neuromuscular diseases, and meet The Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Neurology & EMG. Experience in teaching, an involvement in research is desirable.
